25 Things I Learned While Being 25!

 I was inspired to make this list and post by Jamerly; a peer in High School, that has a blog called the Mane Attire. In her recent post, she made a list of 25 things she learned by 25. It made me think that I learn some things myself and not just in my 25 years of living, but just this year alone. So I wanted to share my list with you.  In no particular order, here are 25 things I learned during my 25th year:     1. YOU DON’T NEED TO HAVE IT TOGETHER We all, whether we want to admit it or not felt by the age of 25 we needed to have our lives together. A degree, family, marriage, a home, and anything else society said we should have. But actually, it’s okay if you don’t have those things and should be content with wherever you are and understand timing is everything.      2.  PUT YOUR HEALTH FIRST Mental. Physical. Emotional. 2020

...WHAT A YEAR! Exactly what a year 2020 was. This was a year I was hopeful about. I came up with a few resolutions/goals that I was feeling strongly about; some included working on myself, saying “no” more, focusing on smaller goals like being more active, and this blog. Those all started well for me and allowed me to be more relaxed and content...until it wasn’t. This is simply because other things began picking up in my life. The main thing was getting my promotion to manager at my job where I spent the first few months working in different locations developing my skills in the new role. Alongside that, a major goal I set for myself was to focus on my mental health and just working on learning to put myself first and focus on stressing a little bit less. It started so well. I spent most of my off days doing some TLC. This included treating myself, hanging with friends a bit more, and self-care routines in form of spa days.
