perfectly imperfect.

(Body Positivity) So I have a confession; lately, I’ve been letting the faults that people see in me get the best of my mind. I’ve been overthinking on ways to change myself to fit what people wish to see. Unfortunately, I can’t do that. Simply because I’ve worked so hard to get rid of the standards people believe we should all look like.   Let me give you a back story; I may have a person or two-point out the extra pounds I have on certain parts of my body without realizing how that may be perceived. Also being around people that call themselves “fat” or whatever. It makes me feel for those that are actually a tad bigger or really experience that in their lives. But I can’t be too mad since it’s just something we feel about ourselves. Honestly, I tried to play it off but it actually bothered me more than I thought. I feel it’s because it’s already an insecurity I have and to always have someone pointing out my weight is triggering. Especially when I’ve worked so hard ...

Jordyn Woods V. The People PT2

**DISCLAIMER: This post is going to be a continuation to my last post on the whole Jordyn Woods Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian cheating scandal. It won't be as long as I gave most of my opinion in the first part. I want to start by saying we all had a feeling this was going to be televised. And boy was it! It was even broken down into two parts (way to capitalize). The finale became their most-watched episode within the last three years, which does not surprise me as this drama/scandal was highly talked-about leading to the episodes' release. In the first part, I felt there was a lot of blame towards Jordyn and a few justifications for Tristan's actions. It may be me but should never excuse cheating behavior with "We all knew what Tristan was capable of doing." He clearly is showing repetitive behavior. Aside from that, the first part focused on their reactions to the news first breaking and much of what we read online prior. Anyways, the second part ...

ONE. YEAR. LATER.

Today is May 11th, 2019 which marks one year since I finished my undergrad at LIU Post. For those who don’t know I received a B.F.A in Broadcasting with pursuits of being involved in radio or other audio production projects. One thing I can say is time truly does fly. This has to have been one of the quickest years to go by thus far. I am almost in shock that it’s been 365 days since I walked across that stage. With it being one year later since I graduated college, I just wanted to recap the year with what I’ve been doing and possibly how nostalgic I feel.  Oh yes, I definitely feel nostalgic mainly because everything was in close reach from classes to friends. I won’t even lie there has been a number of days I missed being in school. Why you asked? Well, I had a routine that kept me busy. I had easy access to everything on campus (LIU is not a huge campus with every building being in close proximity unless you had a class up the hill.) The last four years have truly been...

Jordyn Woods V. The People

***DISCLAIMER: I am fully aware this post is coming out almost a month after its initial hype and a day before the new KUWTK season premieres. Be aware that this strictly opinion based.*** This is not the normal type of blogging I wanted to do, but having studied media and broadcasting it wouldn't be normal for me not to have an opinion on all these crazy headlines and stories that are taking place in pop culture and the entertainment world. One story or on ongoing breaking news that has the world heated is Jordyn Woods BETRAYING the Kardashians for her involvement with Cleveland Cavaliers player, Tristan Thompson. Now if you know me, you know I do rigorously watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians and even supported Kylie Cosmetics a few times, yet this whole thing has me BOTHERED by everyone involved!! It is currently two weeks after the initial story broke, however, I wanted to share my opinion on the situation after reading and/or watching the media stories, Red Table Talk,...
